EyUp launches fully funded places for Full Stack coding bootcamp
We are delighted to announce the launch of a bursary scheme to support our mission to plug the digital skills gap.
The funding will cover 100% of the course fees for our coding course starting on 31st August. Run in partnership with the award-winning coding bootcamp iO Academy, the fully immersive 16 week Full Stack Track teaches everything needed to get your first job as a software developer and is aimed at people with no previous experience in tech.
The bursary scheme will fund places on the course for people in South Yorkshire from disadvantaged backgrounds or who are under-represented in the tech sector. David Richards, founder of EyUp Skills, said: “We know that diversity of background equals strength in teams. We are proud to offer this funding to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn with EyUp and kick start a new career in tech.”
Those on the course will be placed in a small class of 8, learning from professional developers with real-life experience and gaining practical knowledge in an environment as close to a real tech team as possible. They’ll come away with a wealth of skills and experience to hit the ground running in a new career.
Jess, a graduate of the Full Stack Track and recipient of bursary funding, said: “The financial support was completely invaluable and opened the doors for a career change that would otherwise have been out of reach. I now have a whole new career ahead of me with skills that I had never even heard of 4 months ago!”
Applications for the course are open now via the iO Academy website. Anyone interested in applying for the funded places can email emily@eyup.com to find out more.
