Data Science Academy

Britain is facing explosive demand for data science skills. Huge strides are being made in data-driven technologies including machine learning, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, while companies across the country are increasingly turning their attention to the incredible potential of data analytics.

We firmly believe the North of England has a wealth of untapped talent and potential ready to fill the data skills gap. That’s why EyUp will be launching a Data Science Academy to train students in the most in-demand data science technologies and methodologies – right here in Yorkshire.

Entrepreneurship Academy

The UK is not short of entrepreneurial aspiration. According to a Prince’s Trust survey, a quarter of young people would rather work for themselves than for a company, with a staggering 62% agreeing it would make them feel more in control of their future. Yorkshire is among the regions with the highest percentage of budding entrepreneurs, with more than two thirds of the working population in the area aspiring to start their own business.

At EyUp, we want to remove barriers and empower people to turn these dreams into reality. We will be launching an Entrepreneurship Academy to accelerate training in key business concepts and provide targeted support, guidance and funding to get innovative northern start-ups off the ground.
